I haven’t really found anything about what I’m dealing with.
Anyway, as I’m cruising down the interstate or highway I often get into a steady pace where I don’t need to get in the throttle so I try to maintain a consistent speed to get the best fuel mileage as possible.

blah blah right haha

well let’s say I’m at 2000 rpm when there’s a slight incline in the road my rpms surge but the truck isn’t requiring more power. It goes back and forth a few times almost sputtering like. It doesn’t feel like it’s going in limp mode or anything though. Almost like a dead spot between staying in the current gear or down shifting. I have no clue but I have a video of it.

Weird, if you still have warranty take it in. I have never seen or heard this issue and that is definitely not normal.

Yeah I’ll do that but I’m hoping I can take the mechanic along with me to show them so they can see it for themselves. I’ve had some experiences in the past where id have an issue and I would get called back saying they couldn’t recreate it. Then it happens right when I get on the highway haha.

Luckily you do have a good video of the problem, that can help a lot in fighting your case of an actual problem.

Yeah good point. I’ve got the Blue Driver code reader and the only code i have is the Catalytic Converter code unless there’s something deeper than that I think that video would be the only thing to go off of.

whats the cat code from?
did you do any mods to it?

if you have, I am sure that is where your problem lies. your O2 sensor probably isnt happy for whatever reason and it throwing a fit
I’ve got SPD downpipe and exhaust but as of right now the check engine light is not illuminated. I haven’t noticed the RPM surging driving back and forth to work. So you might be on to something. I didn’t really think the O2 sensor would cause that. I’ll be doing some mountain driving this weekend so I’ll get some good testing in.

My money is on a trans problem (or some form of trans control problem) That looks a lot like either a clutch slipping or the converter cycling in and out of lock, which it shouldn't be at all. The 10R80 is programmed to be locked up in anything over 3rd(or 4th, can't remember).

All bets are off when there is a check engine light on.
