Released means the plant has released it. But when talking with the dealership it could still need something. He showed me the database and showed me released trucks that were still missing items. Mine has been released and “clean”(meaning there was nothing it needed) and has been awaiting shipping for over a month now. Just hit 30 days but is supposed to be a dealership by the 28th. But I will believe it when I see it.
Thanks a lot for the info. Be nice if our Rangers would be shipped. The Ford rep said mine was ready to ship. Wonder if she has a clue? It has been 45 days since it was built sitting in Wayne, Michigan. Been told it would arrive on:
3-29-22 to 4-4-22
4-22-22
4-30-22 to 5-6-22
Maybe it will make it by the 6th of next month. At this point who knows? I will call my dealer by the end of the week if it does not show shipped.

I must set some kind of record. My blend date was Mon Feb 07 2022 and my truck is still awaiting shipment. At this point I've lost hope I'll ever get it.

Quasi-related question, even though my blend date was Feb 7th, the "in production" and "built" date are Feb 21st. Is this something I should be worried about (truck needed rework or something)? The long shipping wait and the delay between blend and build is making me worry about the state of the truck will be in if I ever get it.

Anyone else as far back as me? Should I just give up at this point?

You need to check with the dealership and have them look at the report and make sure the truck is released from the plant and clean(if it’s waiting on something the report will show it). That way you will know if it’s just shipping or something missing. I’m at 31 days from my built day of 3/26 with a clean report.

Well it's time for me to exit this thread. Picked her up from Granger motors today. Seriously order from them. I was in and out in 20 mins. No upsells no hassels. Signed 4 forms and was done.

I am a build date of 3-11-22 or about 2 to 3 weeks before mine. Have you called Ford to see if they have a projected delivery date? What state are you in sir? Not sure where your town is if it is in fact a town or a slang for America. Thanks!

I was talking to my salesman today (changing my order one last time). He said he just needed to nail down exactly what my final order was going to be as they were closing the 2022 Ranger order book on the 29th of this month.
wow, so I'll get my tremor for Christmas.

I was trying to figure out what it actually meant. Maybe they have so many orders they won't catch up until well into 2023 (when the new model Ranger is supposed to start), or that the new model will actually be starting like a normal model year roll and orders for it will open at normal times (like 4Q 2022). All very mysterious.

What is your Ranger build like? Is it a Tremor? My Tremor built date is about a month after yours, but Ford phone support said mine hasn't been released by the plant, or is not ready for shipping yet, so no idea what is holding it up, but it is waiting for something before it can be cleared for shipping.

Had a similar experience calling the 800 order number. They were able to tell me the order was unscheduled and clean, but the most they had no notes to be able to say why it was not previously scheduled, meaning they were no commodities they were waiting on, etc. She did tell me the only additional note she has ever seen is that there was a microchip hold/shortage.

Same here, did not have any info on holdups, just that order was in processing. At least they have a number, that's something.

@DakotaGuy already posted in another thread that he was told customer retail orders will not be taken after this Friday. Here is what was posted yesterday in the Blue Oval forums that says the same. If my Tremor delivery slips into late May or beyond, I'll probably pass on this one and wait the long wait for the '23:

INFORMATION
2022 Model Year Expedition & Ranger - Important Retail Order Bank Update

ACTION REQUESTED
Inform your teams that the final day to submit new customer retail orders for 2022 Model Year Expedition and Ranger is April 29, 2022
