Dealer got back to me on how my truck will arrive...

Apparently it comes via rail to Jacksonville, switches trains and goes to Miami via rail, than goes onto a truck and heads back north to west palm beach where it gets delivered to the dealer...

It's gonna have a bunch of iron fallout in it...

But, the tracks the train takes is right behind work so once I figure out when it's coming south I'll try and track it to wave as it goes by. Lol
Hey , we’ll be just north of you in February and March up in Port St Lucie. Coming down from Michigan with our Tremor.

I love the Maverick, if it had towing of 5k, I’d have seriously thought about getting that. Better interior, more space, waaaay cheaper. But I was also afraid that I wouldn’t have gotten in in 2023 period lol. So many MY2022’s were never built and just rolled over to 2023. They also sold out in 3 or 4 days after the order banks opened so I didn’t even make it down to the dealership.

I’m definitely thinking of getting a used 20/21/22 Ranger, if I can find one for a good price and get good financing on it. I’ll see what the prices are in Dec and what financing is going to look like after Fed bumps up rates again. I’ve seen a couple used XLTs with a rear locker for around 34.5k with around 25k miles popping up, so maybe prices will drop some more in a couple months.

Now, if my Ranger isn’t built by the time my baby is due in Feb (or at least close) and there’s no good used options, I may just go nuclear and lease a Bolt LOL ?
For me it also needed a 6 foot bed.

We come down for 2 months so partial winter ?. We’re retired so no such thing as vacay. Just great to get out of Michigan during the dread months of February and March. First time staying in that area. Last year we were by Parkland/Coral Springs and enjoyed it , except for the excessive humanity ?

I'm in Deerfield Beach.

It is brutal here. We're moving next summer... To Colorado....

It's currently 92* and sunny here. Yuck.

Deerfield Beach was our go to beach spot last year and really enjoyed it. Yeah it’s a nice place to “winter” but couldn’t stand the summer/fall season there. Sunny and 70 here in Michigan today. A rarity for November.

It's a great little beach, if it weren't for the tourists. LOL

The summers here are brutal. The camping season is like 2 months. And you still get swarmed by flying and biting critters.

I'm looking forward to distinct seasons. I grew up in Maryland and moved slowly south, Virginia, Georgia and Florida over ~10 years. I didn't realize miss my seasons. LOL

There is a great little roadside picnic area out by lake Okeechobee if you are looking to explore, canal point. I've never seen more than 10 people in the entire area.

Nope, they couldn't tell me... Well, the sales guy couldn't and the sales managers were with 2 customers....

Looks like the blend date might be 11/10....

Guess I should get back on Ford chat. Lol

There are a bunch of trucks on the Ford vehicle finder with the 11/10 blend dates...

So they actually have it or it's built and "in transit"?
I don't thinks it's been built yet.

The sales guy I spoke to said they didn't have it in the lot and there was no way to track it.... Technically there is, he just might not have wanted to get into it...

I'd reccomend going to the Ford search, putting in your zip code and manually changing the range to 500 to see if there are any near y'all.

One of the guys here at work got a 22 xlt maverick. And the fleet is moving to hybrid mavericks for smaller vehicles.

They have their place, a friend of mine just got one of the Honda Ridgeline. It is nice, for what it is. I wouldn't drive one because I'm looking to do more truck things (not to mention the after market parts market isn't as large as the ranger)...

Ohhh, babies are expensive... 1st?
Yep! First baby! I need a vehicle compatible with infant car seats! My 2dr JK just won't do! And, I don't my baby in the ole rust-box XJ.

We have a CRV as well, but it's my wife's daily, and she's in the office every day, so I won't have a baby-compatible vehicle once her maternity leave is over.

For me it also needed a 6 foot bed.
I would have liked a 6 ft bed, but wasn't available with crew cab. Then I figured, hell 5.5 vs 5ft bed, whats the difference, I'll take the trailer for the long stuff.

I do have to do a lot of farm stuff on the Ranger, which is why I wanted in the first place, BUT, if I can't get it in time, or financing goes to hell since the fed raised rates again, then I'll have to get something cheaper, which probably means get the Bolt after the subsidies kick in and purchase/build an older truck. Who knows? I'll figure it out when the time comes.

The payments won't be too bad, just ask for a 10 year loan.

There are two dealer ordered '23's within 100 miles of me. Same 11/10 blend date for both. One is AGM. Seems like the dealers are expecting AGM to be a popular color.
