Sure seems like I am last place with an order date of August 10th, up until yesterday according to Ford my scheduled production date was Nov 17th but for the 1st time ever (thanks to my local dealer mis-typing my e mail address) I received the Ford e mail below stating my production date has moved to Dec 5th. Anyone else out there with a 23 order in the 2nd week of August that is as far out as I am? I ordered a basic XL with only option as the tow package.

You need to check when your order got approved. You get an email from Ford that your order was placed for you, but build scheduling won't begin for you until COVP.
You get an email from Ford when your dealership put in the order, but if the dealership didn't do COVP until weeks later, then that's why your scheduled build date is weeks after others who ordered after you.
Your dealership may or may not give you a straight answer about this. That's evident by reading these threads.

I ordered my 23 on Oct 7. Got the "Order Confirmed" email from Ford within about an hour but haven't gotten anything since. Should I be worried? Should I talk to the dealer or Ford directly?

I would ask your dealership for a copy of the Approved COVP.
Some are saying that COVP doesn't matter anymore, but strange how some have build weeks way after me, but ordered before me. If COVP didn't matter, then why did my dealer send me the above Approved COVP? <- rhetorical question.

I've repeated this many times in these forums.
Soon after I sent an email to a dealer asking about ordering about a Ranger, I got a Order Confirmed email from Ford. I felt weird about it because I didn't ask the dealer to actually order it. So I asked around and a friend suggested a different dealership to order from. This dealer was real good in communication so I said let's order it. I then got another email from Ford saying my order is confirmed.
The first order with the confirmed email never moved forward. The second one, where the dealer sent me the COVP , I got a build week for.

When you placed the order, did the dealer take a copy of your driver's license?

Yes they did take my driver's license and did make a copy of it. I reached out to the dealership for a copy of my approved COVP as @LostMy65 suggested. Haven't heard back yet.

Heard back from dealership. They said COVP is not required for Rangers. Said the order was confirmed and would be scheduled next time Ford does it which he said was only once a month. So assuming I just missed the Oct schedule date, then I guess it will get scheduled in early Nov (next week hopefully).

If they took a copy of your license, then they most likely went through the COVP process. I don't know why they would tell you it's not required for Rangers. That doesn't sound correct to me. I also think they are wrong when they told you Rangers only get scheduled once a month.

I never asked for a copy of my COVP. I simply asked my dealer if he went through the COVP process. He confirmed he did and said Ford approved it the same day. I received my VIN and initial production week two days later.

I got my confirmation the same day, but that’s all I’ve gotten so far (from Ford).

Well, from the Blue Oval link posted earlier, it looks like they are going to schedule Ranger production each week for the next several weeks...so hopefully you'll get your VIN and production week soon.
