I did the same thing. I cut it where the white ring was. Ironically my name is Derek as well. Huge improvement.

I was going to remove the bump stop completely. I think I'll try to trim some off and see what happens. Thanks guys.

Thanks. I hadn't considered Tremor leafs. And recently heard about ROW. I'll check those out.

Not sure if you're familiar with it, but ROW isn't a spring manufacturer.

ROW = Rest Of the World.

Rangers in other countries got multi-leaf springs instead of the mono leaf we get here.

For a while there was an extremely good deal on ROW springs on eBay and a few of the members on here got them.

Then the vendor stopped shipping to the US.

Ah, got it. I did think it was a brand. ROW is same as Global. Did a search and found ROW coil springs for Porsche. I appreciate you getting me up to speed.
I really like APG’s Deavers multi leaf, but man…??

Haha, busted. I am using the harshness of the OEM springs to justify swapping out to aftermarket. Isn't there a pack that is more compliant and give extra flex on the trail?

I would say my global leafs are a bit more compliant and they certainly provide a bit more flex. I think they're harder to come by now though.

there's local suspension shops that build custom leaf springs.
i didn't check their prices, but i am assuming they ask you a bunch of questions and build to suit.
they're showing everything from xterras to dump trucks.

must be shops like that all across the country

take the wife in for a consultation. perhaps she will agree that the ride isnt so bad after all when she sees prices.

Maybe I’ll just add a seat cushion. ?

If you are looking for extra flex then you will want to look more at Old Man EMU, but you will most likely need to get the Old Man EMU rear shocks as well. A pain since ypu already have Fox but I figure I might as well mention it

I have them saved on eBay an they stopped shipping for a while. Then they offered it again but it was close to $500. You can get aftermarket springs for what those would have cost shipped. I checked the part number on the tremor springs an they run close to a grand from a dealership that doesn't offer discounts.
