My service provider is TMobile and i have few problems starting my Ranger or my Escape with Ford Pass. I just push refresh before I push the start button. Chances if the App won't refresh then you not going to start it.
Rangerdanger, your city mpg is about the same as mine.
most of my daily trips are 4 miles and a lot of stop and go.
I average around town 15.5 to 16.1 on a 100 mile trip i have seen 26.5 mpg. Xl Super Cab 4x4. 6,500 miles
I find that if you "Refresh" the app after you open it and then push the Start command it will usually work. Sometimes the App says that vehicle information was last updated 8 hours or whatever hours ago.
Ford Pass had some issues a couple days ago on remote starting. They said the were working Diligently to get it resolved. Mine worked fine the next morning when i tried it.
Ford Pass has a history with failing in the past year that i have used it.
Bret thanks for the information and Illustrations. I'll see if i can find it next time i'm under my truck. It is a 2019 and is approaching a year old. It was built 2nd week of September 2019.
I have the same problem with my Ranger's muffler draining carbon & condensate on my driveway. My drive way didn't have a stain on it until the new Ranger. I had a 2009 Ranger and never had this staining on my driveway. It seems like Ford has a bad design on the mufflers they install on the...
I have driven 4 wheel drive Rangers for 20 years now and almost always only use in the snow, I don't drive off road. I sometimes use 4 WD in heavy rain, it helps to stop wheel slippage and gives me a chance to see if the 4 WD is working or not.
I had my blower motor replaced on a recall a couple months ago. I haven't received another recall since it was replaced. I have no signs of smoke and blower output is stronger then the original blower, my driver side floor mat starts to "Flap" up and down when the fan is on the max setting.
Mine is close to yours at 16.2 avg. lots of stop & go with most trips of 3 - 4 miles. I did average 24 mpg on a 200 mile trip when the truck had 800 miles on it.
I took mine in for the blower motor recall, took them about 4 hours to do. It is easy to access and only has 3 bolts and a plug, it is right behind the glove box which doesn't have to be removed to replace the motor. I think i could have done it in 45 minutes.
After reinstalling the App on my 2019 Ranger it took about 4 days for Ford to activate it. I also used the Master Reset on my radio's Settings. Now everything works as it should, Location, Tire pressure etc.
