More info on my earlier posted issue:
So I pick up my truck after $153 diagnostic check to tell me the right side actuator is not working.
Tech left it on full heat so for giggles I put it to full cold and guess what... I now have cold air on the drivers side. Called the dealer and they are going to talk to the tech and find out exactly what he did but bottom line my system is back working. Oh - and the Service Manager says it is absolutely NOT the heater box. If the doors in the heater box are sticking how can it not be a warped box.
I guess I can drive it in Canada in the summer and go to Florida in the winter. Problem solved!!
So the bulletin specifically states that if there is a DTC set for either blind or Motors and or you have symptoms where it is staying on full heat or full cold on either driver or passenger side the HVAC box is supposed to be replaced. That service manager unfortunately doesn't know too much.

He said because mine never had the clicking noise, the box was not the problem.

I wish it was documented somewhere so that we could present it to the know-it-all service managers so that they could actually fix my truck. My fear is now that I am out of warranty it is going to turn into a money pit due to bad diagnosing by the techs and service managers who won't look at the root cause of the issue.

His words " Yours does not have the clicking noise so that service bulletin does not apply". There was no convincing him otherwise.
Maybe one of you guys can teach me how and where to put a formal complaint into Ford about this issue since it all started while I was still under warranty.

What is the dealer name and the name of the service manager?

What I would do is call Ford corporate and have them document this. Then if/when it fails again hopefully they'll cover you seeing as it wasn't done right the first time.

There is one other possibility. Trash in the box jamming the door. That was quoted in an outside source when I was searching for fixes. If I can, when it try the fix, i'll try to snake a cam into the box.

I called Ford Canada Corporate office today. Complaint has been filed and was told to continue working with the dealer and keep Ford apprized of the progress. Fingers crossed that this doesn't turn into a large repair bill that Ford won't cover.

Well I finally made an appointment to have my Ranger's heat problem fixed. I stopped at Ford yesterday since the heat was stuck on even when turning the temp all the way down to low, so that I could show a service writer, but he didn't even want to go take a look, he said he'd just take my word for it. The Ford dealer here can't get it in for a whole month because they're so backed up, but at least I'm still under warranty until late July. I'm not excited about them most likely pulling the dash. Definitely going to be taking pics and videos of before the repair so that if they scratch or break pieces, they're going to have to replace them until its all back to what it was before.

Troy,
Would you mind giving out the dealer name? I would be interested in speaking with them since I have the same issue but my dealer says it is not the heater box. All they want to do is change out the actuators.
