Jeez I sure hope not, had 160 gallons of water in the bed. Pretty sure the truck is listed as 1600lbs in the bed as a limit. My dads truck can take 300 gallons and you don't even know it's back there. Maybe the lariat has a lower bed payload spec?

Regardless still shows how bad the current over powered LED headlights are. Most european trucks have a switch that allows you to adjust their high when taking hauling a load for this exact reason.

Friday yet?

You were no doubt close. That's about 1335 #'s of water. Lariat would have a lower cargo capacity than an XL or XLT, but I'm not sure what that capacity would be on your truck. My Lariat Tremor has a cargo capacity of 1463 #'s. Tremor package eats up roughly another 140 #'s of capacity vs same style/spec non-Tremor Ranger.

So with 1335 #'s of water, you now have to add your @$$ and everything in your pockets, various odds and ends inside your truck, water container(s), etc. When it was all said and done I doubt you had a whole lot of capacity left over... if any.

That said, even when I've overloaded mine (by accident) it did not complain at all. These Rangers will work hard.

so according to you guys i was somehow overloaded but shouldn't have noticed it was overloaded because it doesn't complain?

Remember too that just because you have XXXX#'s of payload, doesn't mean you can just slap it all in one spot in the bed. The weight needs to be in there properly. Too far back and you might well creep over the rear axle limit. Don't remember if the OP said where the water was, but if it were me, it would be as far forward of the rear axle as possible.

its a 4door so the bed is tiny, i'd say 40% infront of the axel 60% behind it.

Love those tie-down straps!
Was considering post in the "Redneck thread" . Wonder if the pic was taken at a Wally Mart lot, I've seen some pretty low down RVs overnighting there.

The front of that camper sure is sagging, do those types of campers have any sort of metal continuous frame connecting the mounting points? If so i'd love to buy a POS one and strip it apart for that frame and rebuild something onto it.

I thought that (front sag) was by design to provide optimal aerodynamics, either that or the occupant is on the bed inside and is a candidate for that TV show " my 1000 lbs life on the road episode. "

So where does a 2200 lb pallet of laminate flooring fall into our payload? Just asking for a friend.

For me, it falls into 'I'd give that a go if it was only a short trip'
