Over here in the Shenandoah Valley, Staunton area, it's been a snow free winter so far. Weather people say it's not likely to snow here the rest of the season. Never even got the snow thrower out.
Love it! Haven't had to put the snow blade on the Ranger yet...knocking on wood.

We were sitting outside yesterday and I noticed my Yucca plant is already sprouting a few shoots for flowers.

Not much snow here in Portsmouth, about a third what we usually get and the locals can thank me for finally buying a real snow thrower! Good thing I got the cover for it ...

Went on one of my usual trail hikes after work today. I almost stepped on a garter snake that decided to come out to enjoy the 80 degree weather. In February.

It's Colorado... That's your next 3-4 months! Last year, when I lived in Coal Creek Canyon, I had 13" of snow on 1 JUNE.

Here where I live in Arkansas now, I've noticed trees are starting to bud. :)

I find them in the yard and put them In my garden area. I love garter snakes. They will bite you if you agitate them though.

Their bites are like little needle sticks. Their mouths can't open very wide. Pretty harlmess. I tried relocating a 5 foot black snake once and didn't grab it right. It bit me a couple of times on the hand. Some antiseptic took care of it. Still better than killing it on the porch steps.
