Good luck with the knee! I know several who've had it done and it's no big deal now a days. The first couple of days are always the worst and the PT can be grueling but they'll get you back to new in no time.

Every chainsaw, power washer, lawnmower, generators and snowblower I've had I either ran E-Free and/or Sta-Bil in all of them. Never had a problem the following season firing them up and Sta-Bil is added insurance, especially for things like generators that might not get used for a year or more.

Here's a link that shows all the E-Free stations throughout the country.

Yeah, I had my other knee replaced last year. First week was the worst, after that a little better every day. Came home from the hospital the day of surgery. In three months I was walking without a cane.
For the longest time there were no E-free stations in my county but last year they rebuilt and expanded a Sheetz and added a couple E-free pumps.

Tried to talk him out of it. On October 1, he is having his right hip replaced. :frown:
Bionic Man.
Everybody says a hip replacement is less painful and a faster recovery than a knee.
I've had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders and that hurt worse and longer than the knee.

I have had 5 rotator surgeries 3 on right 2 on left they are pretty painful, but I think the knee replacement was worse for me, but the stomach issues caused a lot of that.

I've basically had 4, left shoulder 12 years ago and I got an infection from the hospital and needed 2 more surgeries to clean it out, right shoulder 4 years ago (right before Covid started) and that was routine with no issues.

Or maybe I'm overthinking it.
Thoughts?
Between camping and ski seasons, my '19 Lariat spends a lot of time still. It's not a big deal. Sometimes, the FordPass app will alert me that the remote capabilities are shutting down if it's more than 3 weeks or so. I wouldn't worry about the gas. (If it's not more than E-10, anyway) If it makes you feel better, go ahead with the battery tender which will keep the battery happy. Get well soon.

I'm having knee replacement surgery in a couple weeks and I'll be down and unable to drive a bit longer than last time because it's my right knee. It will sit for at least a month.
Truck will be in an unheated garage. It is unlikely that my wife will drive it. She has legit depth perception issues and I'd rather she didn't try to pull it into the garage, if you catch my drift.
I'm thinking fill it up with ethanol-free gas and put some Sta-Bil in the tank. I have a Battery Tender for my jet ski's battery but unsure if I'll need it, plus the Ranger's electronics and for that matter the battery terminal are so complicated I'm not sure if should.
Or maybe I'm overthinking it.
Thoughts?

I've seen several articles worrying about battery tenders / maintainers on the Ranger, the complex terminals, BMS, etc.. I just used ring terminals to attach my battery tender to the battery. + to +, - to -. Keeps the battery topped off. Zero troubles ever at all.

I've had a CTEK on mine for 2 years, through summer and snowy winters. Mine's always parked outside.

I use the tender at least twice a week now.

I connected mine the way @AzScorpion does and have a long cable running out the garage and the plug out a bumper slot. CTEK unit is in the garage.

Apart from a mouse eating a wire, it's been great.

Hot-to-hot post and ground to the body.

I have my 21 Ranger lariat on a Noco 10 amp and sometimes it may sit easily 3-4 or more weeks before I drive it without any issues. If dealers can have vehicles on their lots for extended periods without chargers I'm not worried.

Surgery at 9:15 this morning and I was home by 3:30. Decent bend already, about 70*, but I'm sure it will be stiffer and hurt more tomorrow. Walking okay with a walker.
Filled the Ranger with ethanol-free gas last week and again yesterday, washed it, and put it in the garage with the Battery Tender on it. It was mildly alarming that the Battery Tender started charging it right away for about a half hour but it's the OE battery and over 4 years old so it might be near the end of life anyway.

Glad to hear everything weren't well. Yeah the next day is usually one of the worst as the pain sets in and then the PT which sometimes is worse than the surgery.

My battery will do the same when I hook it up to the maintainer. Sometimes it'll shoot right up and only be 1-2 bars down and others only 1 bar showing. I remember the day I bought it and when I drove it back from WA-AZ the next day I hook it up to the maintainer and it took just over 24 hrs to fully charge. It was suprising seeing as we just drove it back 1,250 miles.
