My friend drove up with a new Lexus (high priced Toyota). I said what did you like about this car. The reply was I love the tan color seats. She spent 50,000 bucks because she liked the color of the seats. There aint no accounting for peoples tastes.

People spend their money on what makes them happy.

Some would balk at how much I've spent on my old Jeep.

If I start looking at receipts I tend to pause a bit myself ?

Hey, at least she didn't spend it on Furry costumes or Pokemon paraphernalia ?

A lady I used to work with leased an Audi SQ5 over a regular Q5 because she liked the red calipers. At the time I believe starting prices were about $12k apart.

How'd I miss this thread...80K trouble free miles...except for stupid Sync ?

87K...the Sync issue seems to have been resolved with a new USB cable...

Maintenance is the key, big surprise.
The fact that you will be putting on a lot of HiWay miles is a real plus.
Change your oil every 5 or 6 thousand miles, use Ford Oil Filters., not Fram.

Ask subaru outback owners. CVT issues since the 4th gen and now its crept up on the newer '21 models as well. And Subaru has no answer for this to this day.

I'd never buy anything with a CVT.

YEP...came from the 2015 outback myself. HATE CVT. The engine was under powered but very reliable. The car in general was awesome...just that damn CVT with a 2.5l. GUTLESS.

The only reason I bought a ford is that it’s never left me stranded broken or otherwise and limped home a few times but made it… GM products would just die, one caveat battery excluded because all can have that problem,..

Growing up we would give our vehicles the “Ford” torture test… many contenders but extremely few survivors.. suspension and drivetrain failure on other than Ford models were the culprit… yeah ride quality is great until it breaks.. I’ve done many flight tests with fords but came back ok except the ‘96 Ranger which was a piece of crap…
