2021 XLT FX4 southbound on Chapel HIlls. Chevy Express van northbound on Chapel Hills makes a left turn, does not yield right of way.

The Ranger collapsed completely in the front. The gaps between door and fender remain as they were from factory. All air bags deployed. The driver (my wife) is very sore and bruised but relatively unharmed considering the nearly instant halt from 35 MPH to 0 MPH.

The other driver's insurance company was very skeptical about who was at fault. Dashcam video tells the story:

Sucks for the truck but I’m glad your wife is ok. Looks like the ranger performed beautifully the way it collapsed in the front and not the cab.

Wow that's terrible and I'm just glad your wife was ok through it all. One big reason I bought my dash cam was for instances like this. Hope it helps when the time comes to fight the others insurance company. One thing I've learned from all those who've had accidents is the Ranger seems to do its job protecting the cab and those inside it.

The ranger did the job and same with your dashcam, unfortunately you can't do a whole lot to fight the laws of physics but I am real glad yall are ok there should be zero question about who is at fault you had green and were going straight he was crossing your lane so he has to yield basic traffic law 101

Sad ending for your Ranger but glad wife is okay and the vehicle crumpled as it should to keep the crash pulse out of the cab for the most part. Glad the dash cam shows the other driver at fault....

Wow - I hope your wife remains “unharmed” and I’m glad it wasn’t any worse. Very frightening for everyone involved.

Really glad your wife is okay and that you have the dash cam footage. It's a bummer that those hood struts are toast, a lot of the 2022 guys here that would want those collectors items!

I can all but guarantee shes totaled not only cause of the airbags but the sheer speed of that hit
