I don't know why I just noticed this at 77K flawless miles, but holly crap...what is happening here?! I saw this spot on the lower left side of the driver's seat bolster wearing nearly through the fabric...I thought the keys I carry on the left side of my belt hoop was causing this...NOPE...the keys are no where near the wear spot...then I realized IT'S THE SEAT BELT THAT IS CAUSING THIS WEAR!!! WHAT?! How can this be? At this rate, there'll be a hole long before I pass the 100K mark...

Anyone else noticed this issue? Anyone have suggestions as to how to fix or mitigate this before a hole is worn through??

Well, let's see how long a Coroplast "car band-aid" will last...I find this pretty unacceptable for a seat fabric not to be able to withstand "standard operating procedures"...this Ranger is about as pampered as any vehicle will get and the material doesn't hold up...sad...

don't use a seat belt. problem solved. or is it the damper rubbing and you are trying to cover it up by blaming the seat belt?

like blaming the dog... ?

Bumper to bumper but you are probably waaaay past that
I'm guessing lol...any Ford sales insiders here?

Well, seeing that most folks here haven't even broke the 10K mark...I'm sure this subject will be brought back up many years down the road...probably when I'm at around 150K and sporting after market racing seats... ?

It's just a cheapo material. Mine have 9k on them and I can already see where the seat bottom is going to tear open. It is what it is. For isolated areas like yours, that bandaid thing seems like it'll work well. Nice solution.
