Hi everyone, new 2022 ranger owner with a quick question. Does anyone have a picture of a stock ranger with the RTR fender flares? I wanted to widen the fenders up a little bit but I'm not sure how it will look with the stock wheel configuration (I have the FX2). I would just buy them and dry fit but they are pricey!

It will look horrible.
Yeah, never had flares before on a truck. I will be getting bigger tires and a spacer soon enough but maybe I should wait

Hey Sam,

Fender flares aren’t for everyone - just ask Doug ?

Flares look a bit odd with the stock wheel and tire setup. I think @OFC Ranger has RTR fender flares.

Here’s a pic…

but he has bigger, fatter tires and wheel spacers IIRC.

Before I put on my bigger, fatter tires with lower offset wheels, I took a pic - looks like my truck missed leg day.

Yep, as @D Fresh says, looks horrible!

This is much better.

I’d hold off until you have the right wheel and tire setup. You could always get your new tires and leave the flares off, like this…

Just my short way of saying what you said.

Stock wheels, especially with stock tires it's a no-go for me.

Otherwise I have no issues with flares.

OP, you might consider spacers if you'd like to do the flares now. It would give you a point to measure from to get that perfect fitment with new wheels and tires later.

Those are bushwacker fender flares in those old photos of my truck (RTR flares come with front bumper extensions). I couldn't stand the abrupt visual cut off at the front bumper line and switched back to my Lund OEM style flares. I do have RTR wheels (0+ offset), no spacers (I was running 2" spacers when I had factory wheels).

Plus over time I formed the personal opinion really wide flares don't look quite right without a minimum of 35" tires - it makes anything smaller look like a hot wheels go-kart at certain angles.

So these are 33" tires on my truck, but take this photo angle for example, these flares look horrible, almost cartoonish;

Factory size tires and factory wheels (55+ offset) look even more ridiculous with extended flares....like really really really bad.
