Hey there,

I'm in the market for some decent rock sliders/steps for my 2021 Ranger. Ideally these would be simple bolt-on and under 1k. Anyone have some recommendations?

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Ya I'm kind of working with RR guys. I like the price and look of Shrockworks but I've heard their customer service sucks. I've also personally emailed them and they never respond
That sucks, hate bad CS, they want my $$$$ but won't answer questions, WTF?

I ordered a set from White Knuckle. Should be here in November... yay wait times...

I looked at Shrockworks, but I wanted a kickout. I also got to see a set of the WK sliders installed on a Ranger I went wheeling with and I really like the quality. There are other brands that I considered RRW, for example, but I can't see them locally and I have a hard time buying something like that without seeing them.

I really wanted the ARB sliders, but they were $2100 installed by a local shop because of the drilling to the frame. WK is completely bolt on, which I like.

I am looking for the same, looking at :
Ford, ShrockWorks and Rocky Ridge Off Road so far.
I have the Rocky Ridge on mine, a real pain in the ass to install and you have to drill holes ( that's the pain in the ass you'll need a short 90 deg drill to get in there with short bits ). if you have the right stuff not a big deal. Quality is fairly nice, fit isn't " perfect " but completely usable. They do look fantastic once you have them on. Haven't bashed them on anything yet but I have no doubt they will do their job.

By Rocky Ridge do you mean Rocky Road? aka these guys?

I'm chatting with them now via email and they seem pretty cool and down to earth but I worry they're so small that quality control might be a problem. Also, they want me to pay via paypal and then I'll receive a separate bill for shipping...and their site looks like some kid in a "intro to web design" made it. I would like to give a small shop my business but man if they suck to install and have zero reputation it might be worth biting the bullet and just paying extra for some from a more well-known company like Relation Race Wheels or White Knuckle

Yep those are the ones I have, The quality of the sliders themselves are very nice, little bit of gap between the frame and some mounting brackets as you install by they suck down just fine with the included self tapping bolts. I suspect their jig that they weld them together on is not quite perfect, at least on the supercab like I have, supercrew will be different. Wait time on my order was over 3 months but once again with mine being a supercab it was probably a while before they got more than one order to do a production run.

I tried, but this statement right here turned me away from them. Not only is the color scheme atrocious, but trying to line pictures up with which model you're trying to order. They really should hire someone to put together a good website.

I just installed Shrockwork sliders few days ago and can say the install was pretty easy even with just one person. Using jack stands to hold the sliders and using existing holes (aside from one hole need to drill) in the frame made it a fast install. I was concerned about missing hardware after seeing reports of that from a few installs and sure enough, they shorted me one 1/2" washer, but a quick hop over to Home Depot fixed that pretty quick. I like the look and the quality of them. I can't speak to their customer service as I had no issues. The time to deliver from order was around 3-4 weeks.

Have the shrockworks sliders easy install, all the hardware was there in packaging. Easy install did it by myself using jack stands to hold them up, quality seems to be really good, love the look of them and work good as a step for my kids and gf to get in the truck. Ordered them on a Thursday received them the follow Tuesday they told me 4-6 weeks but not even a week and I got them.

So had to drill 1 hole into the frame rail? Did you just use a basic drill and metal drill bit or did it require some specialty drill/bits?
