Oh man, if I had a green vehicle I'd have to park there. My poor wife would just walk away shaking her head. :)
I would do it in a heartbeat

Maybe he's just tired of all the virtue signalling that is spreading like a virus though our society. EVs park cheaper because they need a network of power lines and controls to convert fossil fuels to electricity, instead of doing it internally? It's ludicrous, lol.
All I was mentioning is that the person is willing to lie to slick "the system" for his own person gain.
Seems the same mindset to me as someone that will use a handicapped placard to park in a designated spot even though they aren't actually handicapped.

Dad would make all the kids hide in the trunk and sneak in to the drive in movies , back in the day , long , long ago... I kinda called him out on it once because the sign said "kids get in for free" , but " shut up and get in the damn trunk" was the reply, almost like he was practicing ? ...
We did that too, and in hindsight I'm thinking he was probably paying anyway and just doing it for our entertainment.

I might do it if I had a green vehicle too, but only long enough to take the picture just for fun and then I'd move.

I get it, I wasn't attacking you. I'm tired of all the EV BS companies and governments do mostly to maintain a lie about them being magic planet saving machines.

Not me brother. Owners of EV things aren't any better than us lowly ICE owners, so why should they get a special parking place unless it has a charging station attached. The only sacred parking places I know of are for the handicapped.

I know I can be a "Richard" sometimes, but I'm too old to change now. You know, can't teach an old dog, and all that stuff. :)

ICE vehicles have "green" scores too, not just EV.

So the other day I asked our maintenance director when are we getting charging stations at the company seeing we’re 850+ employees now… Being in Massachusetts, I mean Taxahusetts they’re probably leaning on you already to do it right?

His reply was, we got quotes from 3 electricians and with the rebate from state added in for 2 charge ports it will cost the company 78K to install them. We’re going to pass on that right now. If you need one a mile away is the Tesla public charge stations. Best I can do! ?

One of my pet peeves (parking in a handicap spot and not being handicapped). In SF, most spaces are taken with cars displaying handicap placards.

One day I was going to play a round of golf with a buddy at Harding Park. I was walking through the parking lot toward the club house and a guy goes speeding by me in a big old MBZ S Class. Pulls up front row center in the first handicapped spot, jumps out and runs back to his trunk to grab his carry bag, slams the trunk as I walk by and says, “great day for a round of golf!” And sets off on a jog toward the clubhouse ahead of me. I glance in and see his handicapped placard hanging from his mirror. True story.

But then, on any given day, 75% of the cars parked on Geary Blvd in metered parking spots, had the same placards. Metered parking in SF is free for a handicapped placard equipped vehicle (or at least it was when we lived there). :(

Me too! Frankly, if not for this thread, I would probably really think it was for green vehicles & wonder why the heck just “green” vehicles?
I’m a rule follower, believe me. But, sometimes, it’s good to let the sense of humor rise to the surface and not be so serious.
