When my ratios are like yours (60/40) I'm still averaging 21-22 mpg. There's so many variables that will change peoples averages but I think the biggest ones are hills (even small inclines will decrease your mpg) a heavy right foot and a lot of stop lights. Those two are where I see my largest decreases and will drop me down to the high teens but a little highway driving bumps them back up.

Dave thx for that, Florida = Flat no hills to be seen :) I get on it once in a while but I have tried hyermileing, keeping the rpm under 3K, using 93 octane etc I just cannot get anywhere near what others have posted.here.

I have learned to accept it and enjoy it. :)

Dave, you're right about that. Hills, high winds, cross winds and head winds, will quite literally kick the hell out your fuel mileage. All of the above is what I have been having to deal with here lately, and my fuel mileage has stayed between 19 and 21 ish mpg.

Last week, I took a trip to Microcenter in Charlotte to pickup my Christmas present...100 miles each way...started with fresh full tank, set cruise for 68mph on the interstate...refueled and calculated when I returned...by some miracle, I actually made 20MPG!!!

With the aerodynamics of an open VW Westfalia, I’d say you’re doing pretty good Sid. With all the stuff on my truck, I’m happy with my results.

Good enough, she still can do a three day run on a tank.

I recently upgraded my 2019 Ranger to a 2025 Ranger with the 2.7 L. I'm very happy with the mpgs. I average 22 around town. I haven't taken it on a long highway trip so I'm hoping for better than the advertised 23 mpg.

I have towed a 6,000 lb camper and gotten 14mpg with that. The 400 lbft tq and 315 HP really shines while towing.

I just finished a 210 mile flat road round trip, (105 + 105).
Temps are 30ish, winds are single digit MPH.
Citgo 93 Octane/10% Ethanol blend.
2021 XLT SuperCrew has slightly less than 20K on the odometer.
2K miles on the last Mobil 1™ oil change.
All but about (10) of the (210) miles were on cruise control.
The truck box/bed has a Tonneau Cover

18.81 MPG

That is the best MPG I have ever seen on this truck.

According to Torque Pro 17.2 MPG is the average since the last reset 8k miles ago.

I think that 18.81 MPG sucks under these conditions.

Holey smokes man, I dont think I have ever gotten more than 22MPG when road tripping. Even when on the stock tires but that said, it is not very flat around me either. I basically gave up until I noticed the Ford Tune gave me some mpg back. Seems to offset the K03 and then some. Not as good as bone stock but almost.

Right? My mpg is always worse than people's online reports. Even when I drive like a granny so I can only assume a good part of it is my area. Now with even more traffic lights than ever before.
