I have less than 1,500 miles so far, so take this as you will.

My last fill up averaged 21.2 mpg driving in “D”. The previous fill up netted me 18.4 driving in “S”. The truck does drive substantially better in S than in standard Drive.

Both of these were calculated using the Fuelly app and I have noticed the trucks fuel usage average to be 1-1.5 over so far.

I'd guess 60 mph. All 2 lane roads, mostly highway, some city driving.
I pretty much do 75-80 on interstates... especially through Kansas...

I thought I should start a thread about what kinda mileage eveyoeve is getting.

Include the type of driving you do city/highway %, driving style, gas used, if your using the auto start/stop feature and aprox engine mileage.

So I'm on my third tank of gas and tgt mileage has been improving.

  • 70%/30% city/highway
  • Average
  • 87 oct
  • Start/stop: off
  • 600 miles
  • 4x4, FX4
Computer MPG 19.5
Manual calc MPG 20.5
Two tanks of gas so far. 24.2 fist tank some highway and some 2 lane roads. 2nd tank 23.8 mostly 2 lane roads. Very pleased so far.

So you're that guy....
Is that too fast or too slow? I have no gauge of what the speed limit is on the freeway in Kansas. The speed limit on the freeway here in Minnesota is 70 (for the most part), but it is 75 in Michigan (again, for the most part), and I'm pretty sure it's 80 though the Dakota's. So going 5 over doesn't seem crazy to me. I don't necessarily do it, but still.

It was a joke.... https://kansashighwaypatrol.org/215/Speeding

However... one shouldn't expect stellar MPG when driving that fast.

It's really crazy how quickly the MPG shoots up on these trucks when you get below 70. Still acceptable there (I usually see ~23mpg), but below I can easily push 30.

Yeah, my last couple of tank averages were 230 mostly highway miles at 23.7 mpg and 277 miles (with about 30 towing my boat) at 23.3 MPG...that plus the summer gas formula helps too

17.5 to 17.9, all highway. ~240 - 300 miles per week. 90MPH+ most of the time except while off the highway ofc.
No S mode on highway, when I get off the highway I go into S mode or stay in Drive with auto start/stop off.
