Hey Y'all!

I have a basic 4x4 with front sensors and it currently has the air dam. I bought a OEM skid plate off someone with the FX4 package. Will there be any issue installing this on my truck? Should just bolt right on, right?

Trying to make a poor mans FX4 kit.
I bought the same kit it bolts right on just remove the air dam or trin it that what I did.

It looks good. If you wheel it doesn’t provide much protection at all. I hit a good size whoop in Glamis and the whole thing crushed in, cracked the plastic shroud on the radiator and I’m not sure how the radiator survived. I just got the RCI complete set of skid plates front to back in aluminum which are much beefier. The OEM skid I could bend back pretty well just by hand.

I am in the opposite situation. I mounted a full size OEM skid plate to my 2021 XLT FX2 and am looking for an air dam that will fit with it. The FX2 has the hooks without brackets, so I fabricated brackets for the skid plate. It fits perfectly. I also need some kind of splash shields that go right under the fog lights. I think there is an integrated small mudflap in front of the wheel attached to the splash shield, maybe 17778 or 9. Might be 16A562. Going to the dealer tomorrow to see if they have one of each I can look at.

I’m interested in doing this also on my XLT 4x4…

I know the FX4 has 2 small air dams that go with the FX4 skid plate.

Im not finding the part numbers for the mini air dam.

I already installed the parts. I took some pics and I''ll post up a little guide. Removing the air dam was not as simple as I expected.

Nothing is simple on the front of that truck. I just got through rebuilding all the front bumper parts and part of the right front fender because a body shop screwed it up royally. Now I need the "small air dams" if they are the ones that protect the fog light wiring. There is nothing there tight now.
