I use a 19mm wrench as well, never thought to try from the top, but my truck is high enough to crawl under.

You can see it from the top. And use a u joint at the socket. Grab firmly, and twist. I have an even longer snap on ratchet, but do not remeber using itGot me thinking...who or how are your getting the socket to connect to the dipstick cap?
Then that begs the next question...after you get it loose, does the cap drops to the ground? Do you end up crawling under afterwards to get to the dipstick? Why not do it all from below with a wrench? You can see it from the top. And use a u joint at the socket. Grab firmly, and twist. I have an even longer snap on ratchet, but do not remeber using it
Use one with a flexible head too. Makes for easier working anglesYou can see it from the top. And use a u joint at the socket. Grab firmly, and twist. I have an even longer snap on ratchet, but do not remeber using it

Maybe I should go buy a Lotto ticket? ?

I thought of this too, the last time I was in for service the guy said “Can’t do it, it’s a sealed unit” He did kindly offer to do a full tranny service for $850.00 and they would add the correct amount then.I may go in for a service jut to see the Tech's face when I tell him to check the tranny level.![]()
