So, you're trying to prove the search feature works and those who use it and can't find something are just stupid? Duly noted. Now, don't you need to run off and pout from someone saying you post too much and then you getting your shorts in a twist? Search for that.

I dont think its a heater wire at all. Its a calibration line. When I pulled the covers I accidently moved the camera slightly. Shortly after, I got all sorts of warnings, and then the system shut off. I had to do a recalibration in forscan to fix. The line is how it knows how it is positioned.

lol, you sure took that the wrong way.
bad day??
I'm not sure there is a right way to take your posts. You vacillate between helpful and asshole within the same post. I'll try harder.

i was trying to search for more info on it, and the interwebs is very sketchy on a direct answer for this.
the closest i came was a website that indicated the computer is constantly using a reference point to calculate the approaching objects, or the lanes for departure warnings.
so this makes sense that the line is the reference point for those calculations.
It also explains why it is at an angle and not straight.

We can revisit this in the fall.

Scenario: Frost on the windows

1) Do an auto/remote-start. Stay outside and watch what happens on the windshield as far as areas defrosting.

2) If no auto-start - get in, start truck, turn on rear defrost, get out and watch what happens on the windshield as far as areas defrosting.

Both of those scenarios will have the same effect, It will defrost that little square (trapezoid?).

Now, that’s not to say that it couldn’t also be used to be a type of measuring line for calibrations either though…
