Noticed some fluid on my garage floor under my rear differential and discovered an obvious leak. Checked the level and was 4 ozs low. I have a genuine Ford extended warranty for another 4 years so I assume this is covered? 2020 Supercab with 48k on it.

If you have Ford's ESP , then it should be covered minus your deductible..

Looks like the pinion seal? This truck was also gold CPO so still has the extended 7 year 100k drivetrain warranty. I also have the additional extended warranty as well.

Could also be a pinion bearing going bad allowing seal to leak. But you would most likely feel or hear that. You could try checking the pinion flange for any play. Either way with your coverage you should be good
