We have between 2 and 3ft on the ground today.. Skiing is great!

This is what divided us at Ford...The folks that hate snow ( including Me) from those that love the snow. The point/counter Point made for a lively discussion around the coffee pot at Ford Truck.

We had a cold morning at 35°F here in Arizona, but by Beer 30 cocktails....73°F.... Love it!

This “Nor’easter” was the answer to my prayers. I had an absolute blast out in the snow with my Tremor. Parking lot drifting, snow mount crawling, empty interstate cruising… Hell, I even pulled out a Honda that slid off of an exit ramp and into a large median. This truck has met and exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to see how it performs on the trail.

Here in Mid Missouri, they are predicting between 8 and 16 inches of snow from Tuesday to Thursday. If we do get that, it will let me know right away how crappy the stock Hankook tires truly are. ?

I was talking to the service tech today while getting my 10,000 mile service done and he even admits to how bad the Hankook's are in snow.

You certainly are correct! Since we are in the very Southeastern section of Alabama, they have practically taken our chance of flurries away.? We’ll see.

I still have the stock Hankook’s on. They seem great so far, but don’t really want to try them out in snow. I don’t need any help getting in the ditch.(Of course, since I’m not used to driving in snow, I might wind up in the ditch no matter the tire).

Main thing in snow is that you have to be smoooooth. Allow extra room for stopping and when turning allow that the truck may not turn as sharp as you turn the wheel and might want to go straight for a bit before it turns. This can actually be worse if you have a 4x4 because in a low traction situation the front tires can only handle so much power AND turning so the truck will want to go straight ahead when turning in snow.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania so driving in snow and ice is kind of a naturally acquired skill.

Tires make the biggest difference. Been without my Ranger all week, had to switch vehicles with the wife and she's visiting her family a couple counties away. Not only do we get snow and ice but it is very hilly where I live. Have four Blizzaks on her minivan, we got dumped with snow on Monday and I probably wouldn't have got home from work in one piece on the 12 miles of back country cow path roads I use if it weren't for the snow tires. Traction control got switched OFF and I'm seesawing the wheel back and forth to grab some traction and get up the hills. Got to the bottom of the hill coming into my town and the police have the road blocked off going the other way. Good times.

We only stay here to take care of our parents. When they're gone we're moving to Florida.

Yea agree turning is always a challenge, i try to take a little wider approach(if there isn't a vehicle at the opposite side of street where I'm turning) and always go slow into turn then apply a little throttle to pull out or straighten out from the turn.
I learned the hard way in my younger days with my first 4wd truck and took the turn a bit to fast and ended up bouncing the front tire off the curb, no damage, just to me.
A lesson learned though.

We got 20cm snowfall and wind has packed it to up to 60cm piles on some spots. So I went and played in the snow. Wife did some parking lot "off-roading" with her Suzuki, and it also performed nicely although the ground clearance was not quite enough. But it was a free underside wash of the skid plates

I'm pretty sure they're real as I remember ones similar when I was there. We have ones here around every holiday which read "Drive hammered get nailed". Looks like whoever took the picture was a little hammered. lol
