I think it would be better if it was just a 2 seater.
Ford doesn't want to make anything but 4 doors. We can get a mostly full featured scab in the ranger, but I expect with the next gen they'll start making certain packages/trims only available with a crew cab, just like they do on the F150.

to replace my 06 GMC Sierra ...another little Sleeper.
Oh man, I loved my 04 Sierra SLE. Great truck, never had an issue with it in the 7 years I owned it. That small V8 option was fast as hell too for being a Chevy. Bugger is still on the road too. Sold it to a guy who uses it as a scrap hauler.

Despite differences of opinions looking forward to pricing this one out many times over on build and price.
I feel like the general consensus on here is mostly positive. It's certainly not for me, but it's a nice looking little truck.

I would wager most of the criticism will come from "real truck" owners as you'd call them. Anything under a 1/2 ton isn't a truck kind of people.

and no it's not a real truck with 4 wheel independent suspension. I love the size of the old rangers and utility they offered with the full rear axle

THEY BETTER COME WITH A TAILGATE DAMPER

This vehicle will be made 100% south of the border. It might be the right size for the people in Mexico but most Gringos- they will not be able to fit into it unless they were midgets. I still have trouble getting in my Ranger XL being at 6'4".

Very similar interior volume as the Escape, Ford's third best selling vehicle. Normal size people seem to fit just fine.
