Those are my thoughts as well. I've said it before that for most home owning adventurer people, including myself, this is essentially all they need. The comfort of a car, car like size/space and amenities at the front, and outside storage area at the back for yard work, small home improvement projects, and outdoor gear. If this can fit my fatbike in the bed, haul mulch, comes with AWD and a hybrid, is capable enough to hit some forest roads and two-tracks, and can tow at least 2200lbs, then that's all I need, and all/more than most people need if we all really step back and look at our lives. If they make a badlands, I can get 30x9.5 tires and 8+ inches of ground clearance it will probably handle all my needs if not all my wants...
I'd have to agree with our resident ford expert, probably a test mule. Its interesting and since we are talking about it its creating a buzz...Hi Folks,
Looks like a tool tryout vehicle...not sure how representative it is. Note there is nothing behind the vehicle but an empty line.... By the flat top it should have all the doors attached...
