I couldn't tell if from your pics, but if you are restoring a 68 Olds you might be towing a car trailer. If so, read thru the towing section to see what you need if it has the factory tow package and what you need if it doesn't have the factory tow package.

Ah... and if you want to fill the unusable tray in front of the gearshift lever, @DirkM makes 3D printed tray with options. Not sure what he has going on, but maybe he'll chime in. It is very cool!

Although I introduced myself on the New Members thread, I thought I would start my first thread asking for your advice.

I just took delivery of my lightly used 2021 Ranger Tremor. The first owner was the general manager of my local Ford dealer. He just took delivery of a new Bronco, so he turned in this Ranger Tremor after 4 months and 3000 miles.

Two of the options I wanted to do myself were already done. He installed a spray in bed liner and a hard tonneau cover. Both of these seem really nice. I am uncertain at this point whether to keep the side steps, remove the steps or replace the rails altogether with something less prone to tear my skins up.

What other accessories do other Ranger owners consider "must have"? Any recommended cargo management accessories?

Bed rug. The cheaper one. Softens up the bed and is easy to clean. About $140 on Amazon.

I am a huge fan of my swing case for keeping small tools, etc organized. They fit under a cover and can be easily removed if you need max bed space vs having recovery stuff easy to reach.

Wow, a sweet deal on a great truck! If it were me, just my personal preference, I would change the steps out for the Addictive Desert Designs Rock Slider Side Steps, put a Ford Performance Tune in, and, obviously, a damper for the gate! Happy trails!

Nice truck - welcome to the club!

Ref the steps, it depends on how you're going to use the truck. They offer no protection off-road and actually are more of problem if you're planning on getting even a little rowdy off-road. If not, give them some time and see. I'm of the right height (5'11) that they actually aren't in my way and at times are helpful. Shorter folks absolutely need them. My 6'2 son loathes them because he scrapes calf getting out and bangs his shins getting in.

You had me at avid cyclist. We can totally help you spend your money because, clearly, you’ve figured out that there’s nothing that can stop you from spending on what you enjoy. This is one of the reasons I have a Scab - room for a bike (MTB) with a fork mount. You’ll have to get imaginative with that shorter bed - some folks have had success attaching fork mounts to their tonneau covers. That tri-fold might be an issue but you’ll figure it out.

Understood that you’re not from Texas but if you’re from from NC, same rule applies minus the TX plate frame and at least one of the stickers must be for a university whose teams you cheer for but have never attended.

I see the others have filled you in on the three items I mentioned. As a daily driver, your truck is already dialed in. Just drive it and enjoy it.
I have a crew cab and I use a 2x4 with fork mounts bolted to it to hold my bikes, and have no issue clearing with tailgate closed. But long term I have this on my list -

Or maybe this one as a distant 2nd choice -

LED puddle lights, bug deflector, husky or weather tech floor mats(stock tremor ones are ok, but don't offer any protection under the gas pedal), if you are gonna haul bikes, I know they make mats that cover the tailgate so might look into those.

You can get a bed extender but you have to lose the drop-in bedliner if your truck has it. I had two Sport Tracs previously, both with extenders, I wouldn't get a SCrew without one.

You can't get a bed extender that works with a spray in liner? Do they click into the drop in liner in some manner? Learning to read would help. NM! Do you have an extender suggestion? Ford or third party?

I like the suggestion for the carpet even with the spray in. Allows for moving furniture and other stuff you do not want scratched! Lots of good suggestions in here to boot.
