My local shop charged me $242 for the labor to install the Fox fronts and $36.30 to do the Fox rears. Alignment afterward was $121.
What do you think of the setup? Is the difference noticeable and worth the upgrade?

I had the front leveled, replacement UCAs, and up-sized my tires from 265/60R18 to 265/65R18 Falkens at the same time,

Leveling the truck definitely made it feel different to me. I didn't realize how much the rake was contributing to the sight angles and general feel of the cockpit. I much prefer the truck feel of having it leveled and sitting slightly higher and a little back from what I had with the same seat position prior. I have two speed humps in my neighborhood I drive over every day and the suspension is noticeably tighter with much quicker return to stability even when I go over the humps at a bit fast. I'm very pleased with everything except that I'm 5'10" and the lack of driver's side a-pillar handle has become apparent now that the front seat is slightly higher.

Thanks for the info, it sounds like a good upgrade!

It's at 2.5" I think.

Curious why you elected to replace the UCA’s.?

Future flexibility. Stronger than the stock ones. Leveling the front takes up a bunch of the travel range of the stock UCAs. Better alignment.

I can’t wait to get mine done. I would really like to fine some kind of A-pillar grip. Maybe there is an Aussie Wildtrak passenger side A-pillar grip? I have a bunch on my JKU and I get more use out of them on the pavement than I do in it he dirt.

I’d also like a handle... it would definitely take some weight off the seats when getting in and out.

Someone tried to fit a ROW Ranger handle several months ago but the fit was WAY off.

Yup... I just keep wishing and hoping. Otherwise I’ll probably Rube Goldberg something up.

It is very, very hard to make a vehicle that addresses all the countries of the world We tried in 1981 with the Escort...a World Car. It was an epic fail...I spent two months last year in New Zealand and Australia. In NZ the Ranger was the #1 selling vehicle...they were everywhere. So one day, Margie and I were walking around the Campground and this fellow had a Magnetic Ranger Wildtrack. I introduced myself as the former head of Ranger Vehicle Engineering and he was besides himself. He showed me every inch of the Wildtrack. While similar, I determined that there were many differences to the USA Ranger when I purchased mine in late March of this year. Thus I caution folks to beware that things are different here...It is not like a an Niki running shoe...one size does not fit all.

Best,

I hear you, man, I am six foot three and so have so problem getting in and out of the Ranger, but I inevitably come down on the left side of the seats first before getting settled. This is going to happen thousands of times with my 185 pounds over the coming years, and it has to wear down the covering and upholstery. With a handle like the one on the passenger's side , we could lift ourselves over and plunk down evenly from the get-go!
