Ranger 5 Shortfalls

I mean they're definitely some shortfalls and this may be amongst them but cup holder is tops of your list? Then again, I guess 11 pages certainly justifies your gripe!

This place is awesome...makes me laugh everytime I come here. Let us know what Ford says in response to your "Tell us what you think?" Portion on there website.. (and let me know if you find it!) ??

It was a Thanksgiving .. Black Friday start thread complaining... As I got my new Ranger 30 days ago... But had not tried to put my Powerade bottle in the console cupholders... I realized there are more shortfalls that I have read but don't think I read about the f'n cupholders... Coming from F150's... It wasn't a problem... Like I said... Ranger designed in Australia... There must not be Gatorade or Powerade sold there....

I realized there are more shortfalls that I have read but don't think I read about the f'n cupholders... Coming from F150's... It wasn't a problem... Like I said... Ranger designed in Australia... There must not be Gatorade or Powerade sold there....

Who knows what they drink in Ausiland... Fosters beer oil cans won't fit either!

Same here. But don't you sometimes accidentally open one of the 12v covers when you're retrieving your phone? Who is the engineer that designed the 12v charging covers!? Did the same dumb SOB design the tray underneath!?? HAS HE EVER MEASURED A GIANT MUSCULAR AMERICAN WRIST BEFORE!???

Could be worse... If your in Europe... You get the new 2024 Ranger Platinum with a V6 giving up up a whopping 247 HP... !!! Wow...restriction Euro Rule #6 in play .. no freaking HP to get away from mad Russians.... Or maybe to many cows, dogs, and goats on the road causing too much Road Kill...

64 oz is the amount of water a person requires in a day.

I'm virtually positive you aren't driving 12 hours a day.

Ohh, and try Utah, we're full.

It's like the prospective new hires we bring in for a ride along. We tell them to bring plenty of water and these idiots show up with 1 gallon jug.

Pretty sure you need about an ounce of water per lb of body weight to be properly hydrated. I'm not trying to carry 175oz of water in the cupholder, but the standard 32oz bottle that is used by millions of people should be able to fit. I drive across country twice a year, and so I spend at least eight days a year driving 12+ hours a day. Even when I am only driving a half an hour, when I get where I am going I am going to need water. Not everyone is in near a tap all day long, 32oz is not a ridiculous amount of water at all. My mom's 06 escape had a removable liner in the cupholder that made it able to hold much larger bottles, or put the liner back in and it will fit a small bottle. Easy and cheap to design/produce, and a definite shortfall of the ranger.

Also, Utah is full as well.

In all seriousness this did give me a little chuckle because my previous car was an old Audi beater and it had the "euro compromise" cup holders for espressos and 6 oz red bulls. When I got the Ranger I was so happy that I could put my 32 oz hydroflask directly in my "big American cupholders" (big Aussie cupholders).

I suppose it's all a matter of perspective ?
