Interesting - did you opt for the 501a package? I wonder if its tied to that...

That would really suck if they tied something as simple as a glove box light to the top level trim package....

I feel like it should be there from the factory haha but I’m not going to install this I’m lazy and I don’t mind the no light on my escape the box didn’t line up correctly and the light was always on killing my battery so I’ll do without

okay, well then it's not that - I also have a 501a Lariat, but DO have the light. Might be worth your while to talk to your dealer to see if they'll order the parts for you.

Ok, now that's raising some questions... Is it a package option... 501A

What was your manufacturer date? Mine was 1/19 it could be that they forgot them in certain production months

Interesting. Early vin#? Perhaps only on certain trim packages? Technology?
Well you could always add one. The plunger switch and the lamp are actually all one piece. The harness is most likely just taped back onto itself.. is why it seems too short.

I would ask the dealer to verify that it's supposed to come with a light in the glove box and when he says yes, ask them to get it done (for no charge). If it's missing I don't see how they can refuse.
