I've been using this custom OBD Dashboard and it's worked out well...

IMG_8409.JPG

This app is capable of scrolling through as many designs as I can create...so I added another simpler variation with fuel and compass...interestingly, the fuel economy is surprisingly more generous that what the dash tells me...until now, I've believed the pessimistic average of 17-18 mpg the truck tells me but the PID using corrected/accurate GPS speed (accounting for the increased tire size) and fuel flow rate, it shows an average of 21 mpg! :sun:

The app is called OBD Fusion...
https://obdsoftware.my.site.com/s/article/getting-started-with-obd-fusion

The OBD dongle is BAFX...

Because I use an iPad Mini 4 OS, the dongle is only capable of wifi...they have a Android version that is bluetooth and other apps like Torque can be used...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078K54MT5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The mount is a custom Ram mount...go to page one of my thread for index and find the page on that subject...

I can expect to replace the transmission at 100k miles? Sheesh. I'll start saving up the pennies now. 40k more miles to go.

How is the new tranny?

Installation of my Wolfbox G850 12" mirror dashcam (4K front, 1850 rear) is complete...might need getting used to if there's bright reflections coming through competing with the digital image...I suppose if it''s bright out, then turning off the camera image would fix that...otherwise, pretty good setup...looking forward to further experiencing this dashcam...

Sigh....

/open Amazon link, click Save to List titled "Ranger Parts"

I ditched my roof console for a bit while I do some redesign ideas in the future for it, one of which was going to be addressing a super low mirror location limiting my design angles at the front. I was just going to buy a simple replacement to install directly on the new console, but now there is this.

On another note I am looking to take a trip into the Blue Ridge mountains and go out to Henderson County to revisit a summer camp I went to as a child. I don't remember, are you near any of that in NC?

Sounds like a plan in the making...let's work on something involving a big fire, lots of food and good times.....

@Msfitoy

Is this what you use? And then you added a stabilizer claw mount on the side of the factory console yea?

https://www.amazon.com/Universal-No...mzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0

My top dash console mount works, but it sure does get a lot of vibrations on unsmooth roads.

You know I had that RAM laptop mount I converted from a charger patrol car to work, but that thing while a neat idea to see if I could make it work (and it did perfectly) was obviously too bulky if you have passengers.

Mine's a DIY assembly of Ram parts that I patterned after Lifestyleoverland's setup...it is attached to the console at three points...nothing to the floor or seat bracket...organized chaos...lol
