No pictures of the trail, just the aftermath. How many others have taken dingers behind the rear wheels? I wish the bed side wasn’t so low.

This is why I want to do this bumper with the swing-out tire carrier on the rear! But, I also want to stay married. ? ? ?

I want a bumper like this so badly, but I have to add the cost of welding to the price.

The Coastal Offroad bumper is my favorite of the aftermarkets. Only the ARB with the optional hoops provides protections. But like Glocker, my wife would not like it. Plus I didn't learn to weld when I had the chance :headbang:. However I don't think she's realized what happened yet :whew:; it's not real noticeable so I need to find some Cactus Grey touch up paint.

I like the ARB with the hoops, however, they lower the ground clearance quite a bit whereas the COR adds clearance.

There is another option other than the ARB bumper (and those bed protectors actually cost extra!).

It will diminish that rear clearance, but it's a damn nice bumper!

I love, love, love my AFN front bumper. That being said, for that price, I can pay someone to weld the COR bumper and have the additional clearance. Also, I read somewhere that AFN has stopped production of 5G parts to focus on 6G parts.

I have overlooked that option. I guess we have 3 options instead of 2 for bed side protection. It looks like they have an option for "Classic" rear bumper without the swing outs. That should make it a bit cheaper. That option is not listed on Stage3. They still show the 5G on their website, but you can't order direct from them and the link to purchase from a dealer doesn't go anywhere.

IF you can still get it, the AFN with swing outs is $2400
The ARB bumper is $794 and lower tubes are $424 = $1218
The base COR kit is $712, side hoops are +$96, Tire swing out +$566, Tire+Jerry can swingout +$961, Recessed receiver is +$51, Aluminum instead of Steel is a +$850 to +$961 based on other options inclusion. I would opt for steel with the side hoops for $808 + welding + painting. You could option the kit up to $2781 not counting the welding and painting/powder coating.

Plus the cost of cutting off the bottom portion of the rear section of the bed, prepping, painting, etc. ?

I think there's a rubber molding to cover the cut edge, so some brush on scratch filler should be enough to protect against rust and it won't be seen.
