I drove the entire Long Canyon (uphill). The only surprise was this heavily washed out part.
I like your teaser video. I have a roof top tent on my Ranger - mounted to a rack that's probably at least 6" lower that yours (Yakima OutpostHD). Think I'll have clearance issues through the arch?

Nah, you’ll be fine.

Went out to the Cape Cod National Sea Shore today for my trucks inaugural offroading experience. Performed well. I did the FORScan mod to give me terrain management and it worked flawlessly. Only time I had any trouble was when I first tried to go up a bigger hill but had for some reason gone brain dead and turned off traction control, which is what makes the terrain modes run. Absolute galaxy brain play by me.

also as seems to be tradition, no pictures or videos of me actually driving, just parking and looking pretty.

Also saw a Bronco Sport Badlands Edition. Had Michigan plates, but didn't get a chance to talk to the driver as they seemed to be trying to nap when I drove by.

Did some more off the beaten path exploring this weekend on our trip to the Keweenaw.

Navigating over and through the old tailings piles and ruins of mine buildings of the Cliff Mine. The first, of many, successful copper mine in the Keweenaw and the most productive copper mine in the US from 1845 to 1854. The mine was eventually shut down in 1878, but it's effects still remain.

The overlook with part of the Cliff Mine down below, Cliff Drive running past, and the Keweenaw stretching out into the distance.

We decided to loop around and take a different way back down. Ended up not working out since that path was very steep and washed out. Made it halfway down before running into some pretty large boulders and ruts. I might've been able to do it if I really concentrated and planned ahead, but it wasn't worth the risk. Luckily there was a turn off that brought us to more stable ground.

Went camping in the BLM near Joshua Tree, made it all the way to Sunset mine with intention of connecting out onto the 29 highway. Promptly got a side-wall puncture from the rock shown in the last image.. Not a fun experience changing a tire on the edge of a cliff.

I was enjoying your pics until the sideway puncture. I'm sorry and that sucks!

I'm curious; were you aired down? My last little off-road trip had me a little nervous as a lot of the trail we were on was shale. There was loose shale everywhere and shale sticking out of the ground like a serrated knife. It had me concerned. I was only aired down to 25 lbs.!

Hey @Glocker I had aired-down to 20 PSI (If I were to run that trail again I'd probably go down to 15, given how rutted out that section has gotten. Also I was a bit over-confident since I had the girlfriend with me, haha).

The girlfriend's smaller hands certainly came in handy when lowering the spare tire!

Found an easy trail on AllTrails. Decided to take a side road and learned how to flex. This was my first time taking my Ranger off-road and the wife and I fully enjoyed it.
