Thanks for the advice! I’m going to give it another try but about ready to give up. My neighbors have learned some new words and expressions the last couple evenings! Lol

I’m having a hell of a time with these! Had to go buy a right angle drill and grind down the bits to even be able to drill the holes. Not much room between the body and the frame. The self-tapping bolts are kicking my butt…..not having much luck with them.

Went to the dealership today to get a price on the additional tie down hooks. It's right at $95 for two hooks and four screws. Hook Assembly Pt# 21550A74 Bolt Pt# W505594 Tie Down Hook | FordUS

I have a set similar to those, can’t remember the brand name at the moment. The racks do utilize a third set of tied down hooks that my truck didn’t come with. They are horizontal almost halfway back near bottom of the bed. The racks are still sturdy without them, but tomorrow I’m gonna try...

Put it on today…I cut a piece of leather out of an old glove and put it between the screws and the hood. Seems pretty sturdy! I placed more inboard in case I want to add some ditch lights soon.

I kept the stock one on my Tremor. Not sure the difference between it and the FX4. They did line up just fine.

Installed Shrockworks skids and rear shock guards from 589 Fabrication. Think they will provide peace of mind on the trails.
