Took the truck out this weekend on Hermit Pass just outside Westcliffe, CO.

https://www.dangerousroads.org/north-america/usa/3938-hermit-pass.html

Truck still amazes me. Got it on two wheels going up a 6 degree incline without the rear locked and it was able to apply traction perfectly. Incredible traction control system on this truck.

What impressed me most is that I never once hit a rock on any skid plates, sliders, or underbody bits. This truck is just the right size for off roading on these tight trails.

Trail control is something I wouldnā€™t want to do without anymore. Having it lock the throttle at a steady state when you are bouncing over boulders makes for a greatly improved off road experience. No more jerky throttle from your foot bouncing around.

Iā€™m thinking this could be a great image for ford advertisement! Showing off the Ranger in its natural habitat, loaded and off-roading!!

@PatrickM do you notice any wind noise at highway speeds with those pod lights? Iā€™m itching to get some but am going back and forth. Thanks.

No actually, Iā€™m not hearing anything, not even the bigger tires! Seems like ford did a good job of keeping the outside noise from coming into the cab

The first picture doesn't do it justice but that's about 130ft in the air in the good ole flat state of Florida. It was I believe a 40-50Ā° angle climbing up it. I didn't look at the angle feature that comes on the dashboard but I will next time.

This past weekend I drove down to Rush Off-road park in Rush, KY and took the Ranger. Huge, technical park with a labyrinth of never ending trails. Everyone at the park stared at the Ranger and remarked, "you're taking THAT on the trails?? Hope you come out in one piece!"

Needless to say, my Ranger is fine haha. Got it up on three wheels multiple times, scuffed up the front bumper and skid plate, but the Ranger performed like a beast. However, I will note that I didn't try many blue trails - hard green trails/easy blue trails seemed like the limit for my comfort/driving skill and ground clearance/articulation for the Ranger.

Three vids from the trip:

For a rookie you did very well, especially on vids 2 and 3. Both of those could have been a fail but you pulled through. Well done.
