This is the "frame" after the original boot has been peeled off.

This is the glue I used (contact cement). A package of 4 tubes was under $5. It took almost exactly one tube to do the boot.

Pull the new boot over the handle and seat the boot collar in the the groove on the handle. Line up the long fingers with their retainers in the console then snap it down.
And, Voila!

Looks and feels SOOOO much nicer than the faux pleather of the original.
$40 well spent I do believe.
