Is anyone aware of commercially made spray cans of Magnetic paint that is a match? I'm thinking of painting a few items myself, trailer hitch/receiver, tow hooks etc.

Is there a paint code for "magnetic" ? I got my lightning blue (N6) from R&E Paint supply online. Perfect match too. Just need a factory paint code or call them and ask--I called and asked about universal black and had the code in less than a minute. Great customer service !!

I've read on here somewhere it is J7. I'll have to confirm then contact R&E.

Magnetic is J7. Duplicolor also makes it if there isn't a local store to mix up a J7 rattle can for you.

FYI---All the paint I've bought from R&E is base coat/clear coat. Their clear coat has a hardener in the can that you activate before using. If you use this, make sure it is in a well ventilated area and WEAR A REAL respirator !!! No N95 or any other "facemask"---I use a 3M respirator with filters in a ventilated area.

Rustoleum's Graphite equivalent to Plastidip is a great color match, easy and forgiving to apply. Great for pieces if you don't need a high gloss.
