They should really think a little more careful about throwing the R word around like that for a simple amendment.. ?

Please ensure you remove the tailgate dampener so we can razz the next new guy. LOL. You would think Ford would clarify what is going on in plain English to stop the problems for the dealers. Instead we get a cryptic message to contact your dealer. That's it, I've had it, I'm trading this thing in now! A recall, I can't believe it!
I hope everyone knows I'm joking.

So nothing about to worry SirHi Folks,
A Field Service Bulletin advises the dealers on vehicles that have a particular malady of a fix that the dealer might apply. Not a Recall or a Technical Service Bulletin. Mostly just an FYI. I agree it is a page insert into this horribly edited Owner's Manual.

Hi Galvir,So nothing about to worry Sir
So is this to say that XLTs (with no push-button start) also have the automatic idle shutoff BUT no way to disable it?I have it too. I have no push button start.
My problem sync not updated and my map update not done. I guess if I don't need to travel, I won't need it.
Probably because you haven't had an automatic engine idle shutdown. One of the items in the Maintenance Readout screen, is this one. I have almost 2,000 miles on the ODM, and the DIST_AEIS reads "0"!

Hi Phil,Hi Galvir,
Nope on the worry. If you have push button start, then this feature might get in the way if you try to update your Sync and need to idle the engine for over 2 hours to get the darn software to load. You have to disable the feature before you do an extended idle or the engine shuts off. This is not the only miss in this owner's manual.
