Have you considered sand came in behind the seal that wasn’t tight enough and didn’t bulldoze it’s way through?

Hold one up to the light and you’ll have your answer. Seal was fine. Sand and grit gets through the filter. Not just one vehicle. It is ok if other people like them, I just choose not to use them.

The Honda Indy engine uses a K&N, and years ago suddenly on one team the valve seats were wearing, so the valve lash goes to nothing, found out they were washing the oil off with brake clean.

Without the oil they are little more than a screen, how you service it is important, I am always guilty of over oiling them, I don't care for the mess anymore, I like the dry AEM.

Install went without a single issue. I only had a chance to do a quick test drive and wow! I’m impressed. I was waiting to come back on here until I had a thorough drive. I should be driving her today quite a bit so I’ll update again

It will take the transmission a little time to settle down. Maybe 50 miles or so.

Toyota TRD also has a dry washable filter as an upgrade for factory orders on some models.

If it's like LMS tuner it takes a few and doesn't want to you to mess with anything. No doors being opened etc.

Roll the window down and start the process from outside the truck, reach in and start it. So you can walk off and not sit there like an idiot. I was that idiot watching error messages flash on the screen and getting warmer almost a year ago when I did mine.

I followed the instructions to a T and it errored on me rewriting the very first block. It ruined 2 modules and costed me over 2k to fix. I would highly reccomend getting it installed by Ford to save any headaches. After its installed by one of their techs you can register it in order to even be considered not at fault if something goes wrong down the road. Good luck!

Nothing is legal in Cali for 22-23 model years. If you want a tune leave cali and buy a vehicle without Cali Vin.

Yep, its legal. I have not been paying attention to the models after 2020 though. My guess is it would still be.

Its not. cali never certified the tune for 22-23 model years. they no longer allow that mod in cali. if you want to tune a 22-23 model in cali, you'll have to find a local tuner and it wont be certified.
