Am I the only one still stuck back on the fact that he lives in France? Written English appears to be a native speaker. So probably expat. Which causes my mind to wander.... "how the hell do you retire in France? I'm hoping to have the money to even pay attention when I retire."

You are correct, born in Texas, grew up in Chicago, fell in love in New Orleans to a french girl (my mistake) moved to France. It's so much easier in the USA.

I did check the transmission fluid all is good.
God knows why they put this small dipstick in such a hard to reach place

Our 10r80 is a pain as well.

I have friend's mechanic coming over tomorrow to take a look. If it has to go to a garage, I tow it in next Tuesday. Called a Ford dealership not too far from home, the earliest they could see it was 3 weeks from now.
