Also, I have been dissecting my Vin number 6FPPXXMJ2PHR81998 and from what I can tell my 2017 Ranger Wildtrak was built in Australia. Would anyone be able to verify this for me? If that is the case, I wonder if my truck was possibly part of a Ford recall that was issued to Australian residents for their 2017 Rangers in June 2020, where Transmission fluid pump gears could fail. Here is the article https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/recalls/ford-ranger-and-ford-everest-recalled-over-fears-transmission-fluid-pump-gears-could-fail-c-1078571 That would make since why I never received a recall letter from Ford France when this was a recall in Australia, Tell me what you think. Thanks again for helping me out. Pete
Just put your vin number in here and there doesn't appear to be any "OPEN" recalls on your vehicle... good luck with your research, hopefully Ford will come to the party with some reimbursement? You should have got a lot more miles out of it than this..
