Oh no, they did that with the 94 T Bird and a 49 body, totally funky.

But I think the truck is even funkier, maybe paint will help

Not my personal style, but I've seen WAY, WAY worse!

There can only be one 56 pick up

56 was my favorite truck growing up, I used to build models as a kid and built many variations of this truck. My favorite example was a mixture of these two kits.

I painted the truck body pink and grafted/swapped all the "pro-street" stuff over to the truck including tubbing the bed to fit the big meats. As I got better with model kits mashing up multiple kits to make one car was more challenging. The 56 and a Buick GNX were my favorites. Wish I still had them.

veering off topic a little, but I love the 56's but nothing makes me gag faster then raising the hood and seeing a GM 350 under there. I'm like "what's up? The distributor is on the wrong end!"

This is.... so wrong.
In certain states these are parked at walmart. Also did they give the damper any consideration, I mean they are using a 2x4 for a hood prop for crying out load. Instead of a tailgate damper they will probably use a 2x4 bolted on the face of the tailgate that just flops down when opened.

10-4 I used to save up my 75¢ a week allowance to buy AMT and Revell kits. when I got tired of them, sometimes I would take a butane lighter and make smashed up wrecks out of them. I got so I could get the crumpling pretty good without leaving carbon embedded in the melted plastic. My last AMT model was a 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS Sport coupe. It was the most detailed model I ever built; right down to the silver window trim, spark plug wires and drive belts. By then I was interested in HO railroading, slot car racing and girls, in no particular order.

I agree that thing is hideous looking. The only way I would be interested in it would be a single cab or possible an old style extended cab with no rear doors or rear seats.

i used to see a lot of 60s to early 70s gm trucks with the 89-98 gm short step side bed on them. they looked ok at best even when done well. the "lines" of the two body styles did line up close ish... but not perfect.

Funny that you brought this up. I used to build the Revell and AMT models when I was a young teen, untill I could drive. Now that I am retired, I have started building the 1/25 scale models again.
