This " pigheaded Dutch selfdeclared tirepressure-specialist " registered to this forum to react.

The Toyo list you give , is made with the old American calculation, and leads to lower pressures for the load, or higher loadcapacity's for same pressure.

As late as 2006 America stept over to the calculation of Europa, but only for P-tires, wich is used for decades here for all kind of tires.

This european calculation comes closer to the ever to be constructed ideal calculation to laws of nature, and leads to lower loadcapacity for same pressure as old american.

I constructed , to idea of an article of an american IR J.C. Daws, my own universal formula, in wich you can place a power and zeropressure-loadcapacity, so can make also the american and european formula of it.

The 2nd link gives also the different loadranges in one list, and writes that you can use same pressure for the load for different loadranges of same tiresise.
This is also done different ( and ofcource better, says this Dutch european guy) in european list. In Europe for every loadrange( called plyrating) of same sise tire, a seperate pressure/ loadcapacity- list is made, and higher loadrange has lower loadcapacity for the same pressure.

I will end my introduction with link to map on my public map of onedrive, that belongs to my hotmail.com adress with same username jadatis as I use in many fora.( combine yourselfes, spamm machines cant).

Pressure/loadcapacity-lists

From this map you can navigate my complete public map for more about tirepressure-calculation.

My tirepressure story began end 2007, when I for hold of the european calculation and system, and went running with it.

Reading the sticker on the drivers door pillar has worked pretty well for this American.

Interesting.. i used the tire pressure calculator..
Old tire size..
265/60r18 load 110 30 psi.. load of 2008 lbs.
New tire...
265/70r18 load 116 recommended psi of 25 psi load of 2046lbs..

Yea im not going to run 25 psi in my tires..
They're currently set at 35 psi and if i drive over brail i could read it for you..

I will try lowering them to 30 psi though..

Do I detect some Dutch influence TerraMechE?

If you navigate from the link I gave, to the map " all about tirepressure" , you will see several spreadsheets. One has 4 tabs, 3 and 4 I only can work out , but 2 is to make your own P/LC list , 3 times. Above the formula's and at the bottom the several powers and Construction load , used in time.

But also a system exists for speed and camber-angle( alignment) , to highen up de reference-pressure.

So calculating the load for wich advice-pressure is given, back is not acurate, because lists give it for 160kmph/99mph. And your advice is mostly given for max technical carspeed.

If you mail me at my cripted mailadress , I can send you the official european calculation, and more. Dont have it on my public map, for possible copyright reasons.

Wonder why the difference. Same cab/drivetrain configurations and tire size.

I also was suprised by the low loadindex of 109 for this large sise LT C- load ( referencepressure 50 psi, further Pr).
So googled on european tyres, and even found 112 in XL or even standard load personscar tyre. XL even 116 loadindex( Pr SL 36 psi , XL/ reinforced/ Extraload Pr 42 psi)
Tires on google not always clear what kind of tire it is ( SL 36 psi, XL// 42psi, LT C-load 50 psi , C-tyre 6PR 55 psi, etc).
The 112 LI plate does not give LT in front , so most likely yust SL Eurometric personscartyre with Pr 36 psi ( american P tire 35 psi).

But there are more sises that are given different maxload in European and USA system.
Still doing research on that, to laws of nature tires of same sise and Pr , should have same maximum load if given for same speed.
Yes , also speed is a factor in this all.

Found out rule of tumb , the tiremakers also use.
For every 10kmph/6.5 mph different , 1 Loadindex step different .
Higher speed》lower LI, lower speed》higher LI.

This system can replace the official system of highening up the Pr for speed, wich is more complicated, and for every speedrating different.

Once made a paint- picture of that.
Then you see that V,W and Y speedrating , 30kmph below maxspeed also begin to loose maxload , V 9% , W and Y 15%. Somewhat same system as mine.
1 LI- step higher is about 3% more maxload, 1 LI step lower is about 2.5% less maxload.
So 15% lower maxload of W and Y is about 6 LI steps lower.
So this officiall system can use some improvement.

Dont call myself for no reason " pigheaded".

Mine are at 35psi and i can feel every pebble in the road.. i'll drop them to 30 psi and see what happens..

The 25psi came from the tire pressure calculator link posted earlier in the thread

I’ll have to take a look at this tomorrow and see what’s in my door pillar. I just purchased the truck last night and noticed this morning that it’s at 41psi which struck me as very high. I’m thinking they probably overfill them a bit to avoid flat spots if they sit a while on the lot.

They actually overfill them for shipping.. dealer is supposed adjust them as part of the dpi.
Though there has been some variation between tire brands, sizes, and wheels..
My truck shows 30 psi.
I think someone posted their's was 36psi
