What's up Ranger strangers!

I just wrapped up my 1000mi break-in period with 400mi of lonely desert highways, followed by some pre-runner style point to point off-road desert runs at considerable speed. The truck performed admirably in bone-stock form both in 2wd and 4wd for the deeper stuff. Traction control works well. Terrain management sand mode was not good- a liability in fact.

But generally , the truck was ripping through the desert . I think all four corners were off the ground at certain points and the truck was begging for more. The stock tires were the limiting factor.

Mods:

Stage 1 (ordering NOW):
- Fox 2.0 Coilovers (FX4 Boaty handling is killing us- we live up 7miles of canyon twisties)
- Tubular Ball-joint UCAs (Probably Total Chaos)
- 32" or 33" A/T tires: Deciding between C rated or E rated, General Grabbers or Toyo Open Country. (I really want a lighter tire.)
- Wheels researching +20 offset (approx) 17x8.5 wheels. Hopefully under 25lbs. Probably Fuels.
- Xpel paint protection film for the sides of the vehicle
- Ceramic coat all around
- Rextrax PRO XR Rolling Tonneau (I need a 'locking trunk' for urban use.)

Stage 2 (Power Mods/ Desert Fun):
- Catback exhaust / CAI / Recirc valve
- FMIC Upgrade (it's hot out there)
- Tune (Preferably a dyno tune not mail order, lets see whats available in SoCal)
- Baja bumper (w/ bro-light bar)

Stage 2.5 (light-duty overland camping stuff:tumbleweed:):
- Yakima Outpost HD Rack
- Ski/Board/Bike racks
- Onboard Air
- 12v Fridge
- Rack-top Tent

Hi Folks
I'm Pete from southern NJ. I've been reading here for a few months, gathering as much info that I could about the Ranger. I finally brought my Lightning Blue Lariat home on Wed. 9/11. He's a 4x2 with sport package,501a, tow, electronic rear dif, running boards and mud flaps. I'll try to send a few pictures. Junior Blue as I call him replaced a2016 F150 RCSB.

Hi all, Kevin here
Bought the Lariat FX4 after researching, test driving and a lot of back and forth thinking. So far pleased with the truck, need to set it up with liner, cover and window treatment. But this is off the lot at 0% financing. And since this color is discontinued for 2020 must be a collectors item already.
Hi Kevin. I bought HPR too, chrome pkg. Your truck looks hot!

Hi this is Mark from GA-1st truck I have had in many years and very pleased so far with just under 1k miles. Have had quite a few people approach me to get a closer look that either had older rangers or just looking into possibly getting a truck in this class in the future-also looking forward to some mods in the future so appreciate all the tips and info from everyone here sharing

I'm not normally a white vehicle kind of guy, but that's really classy looking. Love it.

That said, hi there! I'm Derek. Hopefully I'll have pictures of mine next week. It's a Lighting Blue 302A FX4 on a transport somewhere...

Hello! I brought home this Lariat last Friday off the showroom floor. Yesterday I installed a 3” Readylift kit, 285/70r17 Falken Wildpeak A/T’s on Method 701 wheels, and swapped out the grill. More to come....

Did you get the Readylift sst lift kit or just the 3' level kit?

Hey guys. New guy from Memphis. Brought home an Oxford White XLT FX4 with sport appearance package yesterday. Was in the market for an F150, but they don’t fit in my garage and it steered my research toward a Ranger. Test drove one and fell in love.
