    hmmm ill keep that in mind. i do like the fact that the mishimoto doesnt use the stock gasket but instead a highly superior oring design. i hate gaskets. like a lot.

    Actually, yeah. A little. Lol I forgot how loud it was too. 3" Straight pipe cat back... next mod will be trans pan with a drain plug though. Then back on track for the catless dp and tune.

    Well, officially got the truck back last night. 5800 flat out the door. Didnt try to nickle and dime at the end, which was nice. Truck feels great. Shifting is nice and crisp in "sport" and soft in standard dive mode. Havent done any spirited driving yet but even my Average mpg is back to...

    The 11k quote was for a full new unit. The original rebuild quote was close to 6500 iirc. I bitched and told them I needed ford to step up and stand behind their product. Also bring up the fact that the 1st time the manual mentions a trans fluid change is 150k.

    Ok everybody. Finally got a real number from local dealer. 5800 for rebuild out the door. It's not horrible. Local shop was just a couple hundred under that and I'd rather have the work documented by the dealer so when it dies again they already have the history... lol Ill be swapping the pan...

    Mine is valve body and clutch/steels and cdf drum. I WISH it happened early like you. I had zero problems until past 100k miles

    good luck. mine was fine until juuuuust past 100. as long as yuo have the CDF drum done i assume that youll be better off but my valves were sticking too. caused underpressure at clutch and steels and they ate themselves.

    I do oil changes regularly and use at least a synthetic blend. If I could go back and do filter every 30k I would in a heart beat. I'd even install a pan with a drain plug and everything.

    Well no. Fluid change isn't on the recommended list until 150k. Can't really go back in time and change that.

    I think it's the same base but slightly different? 150 has a trans cooler and the ranger doesn't. Expeditions and mustangs have the 10r80 as well

    Not warranty. Some special program Ford has to fix vehicles with known issues or something like that. We used to call it doing the right thing or standing behind your product. I have a quote already for a full rebuild for like $5300 from another shop. Might have to do that...
