:whew: I was gonna say that's some pretty bad shooting if you're missing your target and hitting your truck. ?
Maybe that's why everyone scatters when I go to the range... :frown: :whew:

Howdy!

I’m Mark in Dallas, TX. I’m Ranger curious/on the fence at the moment. I currently drive a 2020 F450 30 some odd thousand miles a year— 20 some odd thousand of that is from camp to work on terrible oil field lease roads. I’m getting a bit tired of beating the snot out of myself and $90k truck (that I still need to lug around a 22000 lb RV). Considering a Ranger for that duty.

I talked a dealer into letting me drive a STX this week and…I didn’t hate it! I was a bit worried about the 2.3/10 speed as I HATED the 2.7/10 speed in a loaner F150 I drove earlier this year.

Anyway, I’m here lurking about while I weigh my options.

I’ve had no regrets. 2020 XLT, 302A package.
Good luck with your decision.

Welcome Mark! I was very skeptical too when they said the Ranger had a little 2.3 4cyl but after test driving it I was sold! Now after 3 years of owning it I love this truck more than any others I've owned prior. As far as towing goes many here are towing much larger RV's without any problem and you can find a bunch of info in the towing section in this link. Good luck with your decision,

Heh. While the currentRangers have a higher payload than the last F150 I had (‘13) I think over 3000 lbs of pin weight/19000 lbs empty might be a bit spicy for a Ranger. Probably a bit of trouble with cab clearance as well…

The good news is I can set it up to tow behind the fifth wheel without much trouble.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the add. I am Ron and I live in Dacula (Greater Atlanta) Georgia.

Just picked up my 2021 XLT 4x4 Supercrew Ranger last week. Sold my Procharged 2016 Mustang GT and got a great deal on her. Cyber Orange, 301A, Locking Diff, Tech Package, Black Appearance Package, Remote Start, and Tow Package. Dealer tinted front windows to match rear and added so protective film bits to door edges and handle pockets.

I have had a busy week installing Weathetech mats, AVS Bugflector, Ford Performance Power Pack, Extang trifecta 2.0 signature trifold tonneau cover, Ford Accessories bed mat, tailgate damper, and engine cover. Will add more pics when taken.

Joins the other Ford 4x4's in the garage: 2021 Bronco Badlands and 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands (now my daughter's).

William from Flowood MS here… My 22 Ranger is scheduled to be built the week of August 29th. Iconic Silver crew xlt fx4 sport package 301a. I’m tired of waiting! LoL… I already have weathertech floor mats, oem mud guards, and a new waterproof dog kennel in the garage. I have a 12 volt outlet for the bed from wolf haus on the way. I’m coming from a 2012 Nissan Xterra 4x4, which I have loved, and does everything I need except have a bed… I tow a sxs and that’s about it, but may get a smallish camper soon. I almost ordered a maverick fx4, but the ONLY thing holding me back was towing limit. I think I will love the ranger though. I was also torn on the f150 with 2.7 ecoboost, but it was a little over $54,000 the way I wanted it. Nope… I have been surfing the threads and learning a lot about them. Thanks!

Welcome William! I think you'll be impressed with the Ranger and it's towing capabilities and don't let the 2.3 fool you it packs a good punch stock. Also it has a smaller footprint than the F150 so parking is a lot easier and it'll fit in the garage. There's a ton of info here, lots of cool mods and many here who'll love to help you spend your money. ?
