Welcome Mark! I was very skeptical too when they said the Ranger had a little 2.3 4cyl but after test driving it I was sold! Now after 3 years of owning it I love this truck more than any others I've owned prior. As far as towing goes many here are towing much larger RV's without any problem and you can find a bunch of info in the towing section in this link. Good luck with your decision,Howdy!
I’m Mark in Dallas, TX. I’m Ranger curious/on the fence at the moment. I currently drive a 2020 F450 30 some odd thousand miles a year— 20 some odd thousand of that is from camp to work on terrible oil field lease roads. I’m getting a bit tired of beating the snot out of myself and $90k truck (that I still need to lug around a 22000 lb RV). Considering a Ranger for that duty.
I talked a dealer into letting me drive a STX this week and…I didn’t hate it! I was a bit worried about the 2.3/10 speed as I HATED the 2.7/10 speed in a loaner F150 I drove earlier this year.
Anyway, I’m here lurking about while I weigh my options.
