After this thread I put security torx on mine then filled them with silicone to be extra annoying. They might key me or break the light but they are going to have a pain getting money from me. I hate thieves.

That's some crazy prices Greg and sorry this happened! Sadly this is the world we're living in now and with economy getting worse and the meth heads out there this will be happening more and more.

Someone posted this on one of our local online apps yesterday. This stellar member of the community is stealing someones catalytic converter in a parking lot right in broad daylight! God rest her soul if she's ever under my Ranger!

Wow that's the same one they got a picture of here. Figures since most of CA has moved here and our crime rate has gone up with it.

I swapped the screws with Allen head bolts, then filled them with a clear glue that's damn near impossible to remove, but I still worry they will just smash them if they cant get them.

Just an observation. Those screw heads appear that they might be just as easily removed with pliers or vise grips. A rounded head might give you better security. At least slow them down a bit longer.

I suppose, but these guys show up with the exact tools, move quickly and are gone fast and trying to wrench them out with pliers would take a lot longer than the screw gun that they use.

Is it perfect, no, but it may slow them down just enough.

Quick search on eBay turned up a couple sellers only selling used ford ranger/raptor taillights. 500$ish. Sure are lots of used ranger blis taillights on there. ?
