So, moved to Myrtle Beach SC. Don't know the area, so I try putting in my address in navigation. Doesn't find. I tried toggling on off connectivity, location etc, searched for updates, I am up to date. FordPass app on phone shows my address. Google shows my address.
Does anyone know the secret handshake to get navigation to recognize my new address? Note, It's a 2023 new neighborhood.

Do you search for map updates? Not just software updates? Even then the maps you buy are usually a few years old. Google, etc. are updated way more frequently than Ford.

If I’m reading this right, it’s the app on your phone that’s not finding your address?

Since the Ford maps doesn't show your new neighborhood, I would use Android Auto or CarPlay and connect your phone and use Google maps for navigation. I like it better than the built-in Ford navigation and it is regularly updated.

Thanks. I will try that. Assuming it won't be displayed on info screen. LOL, I drove an extra 20 minutes trying to find routes I was familiar with. In my defense, it was rush hour, and not used to that.

Just keep making right turns every once in-awhile.....eventually you may get to where your trying to go.
If you get lost start making left turns to get back to where you started from.......

SOLID advise, I have actually done that once, that was an annoying 45 minute detour on a 20 minute drive.

It will display the Google maps on your info screen, it will look built-in.

What version maps do you have? I know you said you are up to date. The latest maps are NA 2 25 which just came out about a month ago. No guarantee it will have what you want though.

Try Waze. Use it more than the factory nav.

I never use factory nav, regardless of map updates. It doesn’t display traffic or police like google or any of the others can. Give it a try, you will like it.

I found the factory maps are woefully out of date. I used it one time and it tried to take me down a road that closed nearly 20 years before my Ranger was even built. Much better to use Waze, Google or Apple Maps

Not to hijack this but does it use phone data the whole time while you are using Google or Waze? Do you need an unlimited plan?

I don't think so. I think it mainly uses location. I used it for my entire round trip to Ohio and back putting about 1500 miles on it, data seems normal. I have a 3 gig plan and never burn through it .

For Google, you can download for offline use. Pretty sure Waze has to have a connection but it’s not using much data except to update traffic info
