Wow Adam,

I’m so glad your wife is okay - too bad about having to wait for a hood. What are those headlights made of, Newtonium?
Yea I mean every tab sheared off but 1 and the polycarbonate was shattered but still amazed the innards still function!

Glad everyone is ok. I had a lady make a left in front of me an this happened. They didn't total it but it was $5400 for the repairs. I'm not usually a big fan of fixing a car after a serious hit but the air bags didn't pop, radiator an AC were untouched. I traded it in about a year later. I couldn't tell anything had been changed. If she were a little slower or turned a little later I think the radiator might have be destroyed an that might have pushed the repairs high enough to total it.

With the replacement costs of vehicles now I would prefer to repair damage as small as the OP has VS dealing with no selection an premium pricing.

Would anyone mind snapping a picture under your hood looking right down at the inter cooler ductwork right beside the battery? My other parameters are checking out but this bend just doesn’t look right to me.

That sucks, glad your girl is okay. Also like to see the truck doing it's job taking the worst of the damages instead of the occupants. Hope everything works out in your favor.

All frame and radiator core support pulling is complete and back into specs. As a new parts go back on will further tell the tale that everything is exactly where it supposed to be again. Just impatiently waiting for $6400 in new parts now. Yes that’s Just parts, Some upgrades yes, but Just parts.

In another thread on here I showed where I made these. I utilized the factory skid plate mounts and welded these Amazon shackle blanks onto them. I believe this shackle mount was the very first part to come in contact with the other vehicle during the crash. Welds are just fine but you can see the bracket actually bent sideways. Little heat to straighten it up and it’ll be perfect again. Anyone out there afraid to do some welding don’t be, get yourself a good MIG welder, get a little training, and go for it.

When you heat metal like that to reshape it you will draw the temper out of it. By quenching it in water you get some of that hardness back.

Yes thank you she walked away perfectly fine. Closest used hood is 400 miles from me and even it has hail damage. In fact every used hood within 1000 miles has damage of some sort.
You might think about going with a hail damaged hood and put a vinyl wrap on it. I'm thinking if you used a textured 3M wrap the hail dimples would not show through at all. Just a thought..... ;)

Forgot to mention I found an "OEM" hood (I will be SHOCKED if it is actually indeed an OEM Ford hood) on Fordpartsgiant.com. Its on its way. Anyone used this place?

I wish a wrap would hide hail like that lol. Other components like the fender and upper bumper panel will have to be painted Shadow Black so the new hood gets it at the same time.

Fender flare buckled and goes on the trash correct? Not so fast for the $300 they cost. Heated and reformed. Yes it’s still imperfect on the bottom lip but that’s ok. I’m imperfect too. Yes I realize things like this cause some of y’all to loose your minds.
