And a totally unrelated question, how is the ARB skid plate coverage compared to the FX4 front skid, primarily regarding protecting the alternator from mud?

These photos don’t show just how beefy this ARB skid plate system really is. I guess I’ve added 100 pounds to my truck but at least it’s down low. As far as protecting the alternator it’s probably actually worse protection than the stock skid plate since it is narrower.

Some good news and bad news on this Monday. Bad news is even when you purchase a genuine Ford OEM front fender, it’s made of steel instead of aluminum. Guess aluminum Ranger fenders only exist in Wayne Michigan.

Good news I was able to swap over this module from my Pros over to my alpha Rex Luxx lights and now I don’t have the silly light show!

Aluminum fenders aren't available in Wayne, Michigan anymore either. Sounds like the 2022's have been switched over to steel to cut costs. So your steel fender is the latest and greatest.

After further conversation with someone that knows, the steel front fenders started in 2021. So 2019-2020 aluminum 2021+ steel.

The front fenders on my 2021 Lariat are definitely NOT steel !!! No magnet adheres, and they almost have a "plastickey" sound when you tap them. Don't sound like aluminum either !!!
